High (heel) tech

Architechts and furniture people are all gonna go
in to shoedesign...

- Really?!

Zaha Hadid did a shoe/trainer for Lacoste (Comes in a box bigger than a smaller sized house bdw.)

London based architect Julian Hakes has designed
this green number called the Mojito shoe. It is made of carbon fiber and laminated with rubber on the bottom and leather on top.

And at last to proof my point; Kartell have produced
a range of ballet flats designed by .normaluisa
presented on the Milano fashionweek. All rubber - made in italy. (melissa?)

Im must say that even if its not neccesarily good lookinkg shoes its pretty good design.
Hopefully it will work the revers way to. I would love to see a house made by John Lobb or a nice dining ensamble signed Nicholas Kirkwood. Last but not least - this diagram! got it from the Gadeget blog. So sweet and SO true.

Byblos

I love Byblos - dont ask me why. Its a unconditional and an almost ironic love but it sure is love. A great brand, but such rubbish shoes though. That would probably be the dreamjob of all times - Byblos leather goods..i imagine softest leather with Laura Bohincish hardwear...black and rose metal... grrr.

FYI:
Established in 1973, Byblos has been home to the creative genius of Gianni Versace (1977-1979), Guy Paulin (1979-1982), Keith Varty and Allen Cleaver (1981-1996), Richard Tyler and John Bartlett.

Meaning

Nonsense, rubbish.

Origin

This is a classic of Cockney rhyming slang. It originates from cobbler's awls, which are the pointed hand-tools that cobblers use to pierce holes in leather. The rhyme is with balls, or testicles.

The phrase is often reduced just to cobblers, which is now considered an acceptable vulgarism, as many may not be aware of its origin.
